ULB Question AH64

Recommended Posts

What i did:

Placed a ULB Manager

Synced it with the LittleBird-UAV

Placed a empty AH64

Question:

I want to use the Apache later with the UAV, so i must sync the empty AH64 with the ULB, however if i get in, theres no ULB option no more.

Can this be added via Command to an empty chopper?

i havent tried the ULB yet but maybe you have to be in the AH-64 at start of mission instead of leaving it empty, or maybe you have to sync the ULB module to the player aswell.

I'm having the exact same problem. I don't want all of the players to start out in an Apache, there is one in the base and when a player gets in, he should get the ULB action-menu option. But no matter what I tried, I can't get it to work.

I would also like to add the option to use the ULB when sitting in a UAV HMMMV for example, but if I sync the ULB Module to a vehicle, it's only possible to acces the ULB when close to the vehicle instead of when sitting in it. The only thing that worked out fine so far, was syncing it to a UAV Backpack. In this case, a player wearing this UAV Backpack is able to use the ULB. :)

If you create an empty ah64 and sync it to the ULB Module, then use the moveindriver command you will have the option to use the ULB module.

Nope. The Apache does have it, but only accessible from the outside of the copter, not as Pilot or Gunner.

That worked for me. Here is what I did:

Created a manned AH-6X

Created an empty (us army) AH64D

Created a rifleman (player) and used the moveindriver command

Created the ULB Module

Sync the ULB Module to the empty AH64D and the manned AH-6X

Ive tested it twice and it works perfect from inside the helicopter! :p

You can get out move back in and its still in the menu.

That's a "perfect world" scenario and won't happen, since that basically forces you to start the game as the Apache pilot. What needs to be able to be done is synch the empty Apache and whoever gets in can use it, not whoever started in it.

Try moving in with moveInDriver from a trigger or something after the game started and you'll see that it doesn't work. Your way is just the same as starting as the pilot which works of course. :) Unacceptable for MP though, and if you die/respawn you can't get it back.

You can also play with the variables and place them into the ULB Module

this setvariable ["name","AH-6X"]; this setvariable ["terminalList",[ah2]]; this setvariable ["unitList",[player,ah2]]; this setvariable ["UAVList",[ah1]];

Man this is weird.
