victim913 10 Posted July 12, 2010 I tried using the Stryker MEV but I don't know how it works. I can't get into it, and when i am driver, that's all i can do, drive. I have walked around it searching for any spot that gives me any action menu options. nothing. I tried being wounded and even standing next to it, like a fuel truck when out of fuel. I tried to order wounded troops to it, not an option. Is it bugged or do I just not know how to use it? Thanks
spamurai 3 Posted July 12, 2010 The Mortar is static and inert. A mission would have to specifically create a script to simulate it's function.
victim913 10 Posted July 12, 2010 It's not the mortar. It's the medic stryker
blakeace 11 Posted July 12, 2010 If you are injured, you will get a heal option. Try in the editor by setting your units health to less than full via the health/armour slider.
kylania 568 Posted July 12, 2010 You have to be near the tail end of the vehicle to get the Heal at Stryker MEV option.
Nutlink 10 Posted July 12, 2010 Just like with the MH-60 you'll have to be towards the nose of the aircraft to heal as well.
victim913 10 Posted July 12, 2010 I'll try going around to the back and wait longer. But there definitely is no option to heal. I remember in previous, If i had a wounded soldier, I could push 6 and tell him to heal at helicopter or whatever. But I didnt get that last night. I thought maybe cause i started out in the editor with health down to like 20% so I shot someone and still no option. I'll play around with it somemore today and try what you guys said. thanks
frederf 0 Posted July 12, 2010 The "magic heal" ability is made possible by the "attendant=1" flag in the config for the vehicle. I know the M113Ambulance of old had this but I'm not sure if the Stryker MEV is coded thusly. I know that in the "Open Season" OA mission the MEV was a source of medical treatment but that could have been specifically scripted for that mission. However it probably was the attendant feature. Big Dawg KS 6 Posted July 13, 2010 I know the M113Ambulance of old had this but I'm not sure if the Stryker MEV is coded thusly. I recall the MEV's healing being fixed in one of the patch changelogs.
