arma2.exe arma crashes constantly

my game crashes at irregular intervals, I have no idea why.

I've checked the event log but can not be it smart

OS: Windowsn 7 64bit with newest Updates

Mainboard: Asus Maximus Formula x38 with newest Chipsetdriver

Graphicscard: ATi Radeon 4870 512MB (Catalyst 10.5)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

RAM: 4GB Transcend aXeram 1066Mhz

Powersupply: Delta 750Watt

Monitor: Acer G24

I play with 1680x1050 Resolution an Normal Settings.

Other Games (BF Bad Company 2 and GTA: 4 never crash)

please, if you are going to post in the troubleshooting section of the forum, you should play the game without mods first.

if the game is still crashing when you are playing vanilla, then you can post here.

Try previous ATI Catalyst 9.9

In my case, the later versions from 9.10 to 10.6 crash the game every time when i use m40a3 optics in the trial by fire mission.

Or set the in game video memory and texture quality to "low" with your current ATI driver.
