Big Dawg KS 6 Posted June 15, 2010 (edited) The 3d editor is experimental. There aren't a lot of people too familiar with it and probably less people who have actually used it exclusively to make missions. Has anyone actually tried (sucessfully) exporting a 3DE created mission in MP? You might need to convert it to a regular mission. There's a very useful addon/tool that does this. It's called 3de_conv (sorry I don't have a link, try searching for it). It does require you to slightly adjust the positions of most of your objects if you've placed them without using the addon, but it's still a lot better than starting from scratch in the 2D (standard) editor. Btw: On these forums you must use descriptive thread titles. A title like "need help" is actually not very helpful. st_dux 26 Posted June 15, 2010 I have never been able to use the 3D editor in ArmA 2. It's just too broken to be of any use. Unfortunately, we all must stick to the 2D editor for now.
W0lle 1052 Posted June 15, 2010 §22) Use descriptive thread titles If you start a new thread, please make sure your thread title explains what you want without forcing people to read through your post first. Thread titles such as "How in the world do I...", "Need help!" or "Will we ever see..." are anything but descriptive. We do not allow these kind of titles and threads with such titles are subject to be closed.
gobbo 10 Posted June 15, 2010 You might try this one, it's not the built-in 3d editor but another 3d real-time editor: http://rte.jonasscholz.de/
manzilla 2 Posted June 16, 2010 Try this: http://dev-heaven.net/projects/sqf2sqm/wiki And thank you to Wolle for changing the ridiculously useless title! :) Cheers to you for getting at people about this lately! It makes searching for and implementing issues or Editor features so much easier/faster.
