Scenarios crash! please help!

ok,so...the issue i am having has been around since a month after buying it, when i go to single player>Scenarios the game crashes and gives me this error ------> (Data file too short 'Missions\test.Chernarus.pbo'. Expected 2841 B, got 108 B)

now i have no idea what this means and ive looked for a pbo in missions titled test.chernarus but cant find one

i would not care but the single missions bis has to offer can be fun with the mods i have so this is really lighting a fire under my a** :butbut:

you the thing is test.chernarus was probobly a map i made back when i first got it (2009) so how could that cause me to have crashes in the scenario menu?? i dont get it >>

because it's a mission, and missions come under Scenarious if I'm not mistaken. go to my documenets then find the arma 2 folder and delete it from missions in there.

Thanks for post relemar but theres nothing there! *edit* OK i reinstalled arma and it worked! but then i put in the mods i have and it didnt work! so i took them out and it still didnt work! sooooo that means one of my mods is modifing the game somehow thats not recoverable. im trying to figure what mod it is....i have a hunch its ACE

Yeah, let us know how it goes.

Just in case: Be aware that scenarios are addon dependant.

If you create a mission in the editor it will need the same addons to run.

Or if you download a mission it may depend on addons which you must have to play (it will usually tell you which ones on the download page)

ok after alot of testing...i got nothing.....it seems to be random....it was working one night then the next moring it wasnt working....this sucks ):

i had backed it up, reinstalled it and then slowy started putting mods on...ok so...all the mods were working and everything was cool (i was having fun) then the next moring without changing anything it goes belly up and dont work.....hmmmmmmm :( :( :( :(

You said that a fresh install worked but when you used the addons it failed again.

Are you using separate mod folders or putting them all in the addons folder?

If it works fine in Vanilla then its one of the mods causing a problem. You might have to try them one at a time.

using sperate mod folders...but after the crash..i took the mods of...still no juice ):....BUT...i have operation arrowhead now and scenarios work on CO so hahah wata waste
