Hello everybody, I'll use this thread to share footage and screenshots of our Tangodown co-op sessions. We are a Dutch tactical gaming community, playing various different tactical shooters including but not limited to ArmA 2, Raven Shield and Ghost Recon. Our main aim is to have fun while using teamwork and tactics. Anyone (who speaks Dutch ;)) is welcome to join us as long as you're mature and able to play the game like it's supposed to be played.

Obviously, the language spoken in these clips is Dutch, so most of you probably won't be able to understand a thing... but I know there are quite a few Dutchies here as well. I hope you'll enjoy them.

I'll start off with our latest movie, 'Night Of The Dutch Lion'. This mission was made by SiC, using Aeneas2020's Dutch Army units. As Dutch commandos we were inserted by enemy lines and had to take out several objectives. No respawn in this mission. Enjoy. :)

Couple of shots from our latest mission. 'Operation Sierra Grab', another mission by SiC, also using Aeneas' Dutch KCT units. All went well until we made it to the main objective, where the entire team got wiped out (no respawn). :o

Last friday we had another coop session, playing a custom mission made by Nimster, putting the Dutch units in Helmand Valley against several villages occupied by the Taliban.

Goal was to sweep villages in search of weapons caches and eliminating the Taliban presence in those vills.

Last Friday was very good indeed. Great teamwork.

Next Friday is the in-game training session. We'll be practicing a lot of tactical manoeuvres, I hope you guys can come.

The training was a big success. :3 Some screenshots:

Last saturday we had our very first 'get-together' meeting where we did tactical paintball, which was quite different from regular paintball.

It was wicked fun playing Team Survival and specialised missions, and 2 on 2 games were a lot of fun too!

After the competitive play was over we did some tactical training where we practiced a file formation, crossing an intersection and an approach on a hostage bus.

Two members recorded this on video, which i used to create this neat little video:

I totally forgot to post the videos of the first 'official' training session we had a while ago. Pilgrim (ex-Dutch Army) was the main instructor, Rasa was the assistant instructor. We trained basic tactics. How to patrol, how to watch a firing sector, what to do during halts, etc. Here are the vids, check 'em out.

It will be a repetition of the second training session. It will be about troop movement through different kinds of terrain, basic formations, and reporting contacts.

We held our first PRO-Ops pilot yesterday. I played the role of the high value target, Colonel Aziz. The team (split up in Alpha, Bravo and Charlie) was supposed to capture Aziz alive while he was refueling his SUV south of Zargabad. We used VTS so we could spawn enemy patrols on the fly, making things more dynamic. I could hear the Team Leaders speaking with HQ / the Game Master - I was in the same channel as him. As the teams moved closer to the fuel station I escaped in my SUV with my two bodyguards and took shelter in one of the villages as the Game Master spawned enemies around me.

TDNL chased me after they took out a couple of technicals and secured the fuel station. After a while Alpha breached my hiding place and killed my bodyguards. I then showed resistance by firing at them (but deliberately missing them) and yelling on TS "I WILL NOT SURRENDER, GO AWAY INFIDELS!".:D But then Bravo who were covering the street made a mistake; they wound up accidentally killing me through the window. So it was mission failed, but that's not a bad thing; it was the first time we did something like this and we learned a lot. Lots of good teamwork there. We will definitely do this more often.

Which site? Nothing happened to us, we are very much active (haven't you read the debriefing of the first PRO-Op?) and have a lot of cool surprises in the planning for you guys.

The PRO-Ops are open for mature tactical gamers. You do need basic knowledge of the tactics that we use. Of course there are still also the normal ArmA 2 / OA sessions.

By the way, TDNL celebrated its second birthday last week :D
