[frl]myke 14 Posted May 18, 2010 @Mods Although it sounds like addon making question, i've posted it here since i guess chances are higher to get a answer on this. @Topic I would like to know something about color designation scheme of russian AA and AG weapons. From NATO i know that yellow designates a live warhead (high explosive), brown is for propulsion load (explosive) and blue for inert training rounds without any explosive content. Sadly i couldn't find any info about russian-made weaponry. So i would be happy if someone could give me some info about. Mainly for live firing weapons since i do not plan to make inert weapons. Thanks in advance Myke out
rksl-rock 1301 Posted May 18, 2010 (edited) Soviet era bombs and missiles had the filler types stencilled on. I dont think there was an equivalent colour banding system at any time but i could be wrong. Yo can get some info from this: http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/library/report/2002/iraq-osgjs-eod_03-markings-terms-etc.pdf Im not so sure about modern equipment. Last time i went to MAKs there were some display weapons with painted markings but i can't read cyrillic so i've no idea what they were or what the markings meant. [frl]myke 14 Posted May 18, 2010 Thanks Rock. Well, that fits with the fact that almost all russion missiles and bombs i could find pics of, usually didn't had color markings that i could myself identify as lethality indicator. But all had some text which fits with the explanation on your linked site. Thanks mate, brings me another big step ahead.
