bomber_jacket 10 Posted May 9, 2010 Hello, I recently downloaded the ARMA II demo on STEAM after watching some fantastic youtube gameplay videos. The concept for this game is fantastic and amazingly unique but I'm having some significant problems with the demo that's keeping me from buying retail. Problems like low fps (barely reaching 20 with low settings) draw distance, fuzzy graphics and major lag issues in multiplayer. My question is this; are these problems insignificant in the patched retail or is it just my system? I really want to get into this game, kudos to Bohemia for a great concept. System Specs; AMD Anthlon II X2 245 @3.0ghz EVGA 9800gtx+ 4gb DDRII 800 RAM WD 500GB WINDOWS XP HOME SP3 Sorry in advance if im posting in the wrong section, thanks. Antigoon 10 Posted May 10, 2010 If you're asking about whether or not your pc can play Arma2 with decent settings and framerates, you should look at this thread; http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=72181 As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best games ever, together with its predecessors! EDcase 87 Posted June 16, 2010 (edited) Hi and welcome Bomber Jacket, Your system should be OK to run ARMA2 but not with full settings. The retail version with the latest patch runs much better than the demo but its still the most demanding game on hardware that exists so it may not look as good as youtube vids. (check their system specs) Make sure to defrag the HD and dissable any unecessary services (if you know how) Edited June 16, 2010 by EDcase
