Task Force Black Jack is a unit of current, separated or retired members of the armed forces. We teach tactics in a realistic but fun environment. We value a full server over a list of chores from someone who may or may not have the experience to lead people. Every member is valued, whether you are new or have been around from the beginning. We currently have slots open in all aspects of our team. TheBigHerm 10 Posted April 5, 2010 I am pleased to announce the release of our new 64 person server, our own addon sync , and our mapmaking section. Recently, we have been having a lot of issues with our server host. We have since switched over to Jest Servers and upped our player slots to 64 for our big Friday night games. If you havent been to one of our Friday night games, you should come check them out! The new servers have NO LAG, NO RUBBER BANDING, and NO DSYNC! Our 64 slot public game server is located at 206.123.94.106 port 2302 Within our unit, we strive to make updates as easy and painless as possible. So with the tireless effort of our members we can now offer an exclusive way to update to our members. With the "BlackJack" Sync method, it takes 30 seconds to update your addons and process everything without having to lift a finger. Its automatic! This takes the pain out of trying to find a good game and makes it easier for you to kill some bad guys in our server. Lastly, we have been working very hard to give back to the Arma 2 community. We have a few great members (Pittman, Animal Mother, Tractorking, and Ugly58 to name a few) who are great mission makers. We will be releasing a few maps at a time, playable at our Friday night games. Black Jack will be hosting other units from the JSOC community, in which Black Jack will be joining, and other outstanding units from around the community in LARGE Coop missions. These missions will be played tactically and we prefer if those joining have teamspeak. Also, you will need the ACE 2 mod. So if you are looking for fun and have a free Friday Night to kill some bad guys, join us!Our Server is located at 206.123.94.106:2302Our teamspeak is located at ts3.defconservers.com port 10019Hope to see everyone there. TheBigHerm 10 Posted April 10, 2010 Task Force Black Jack is proud to announce that it has signed up to be a unit among the Joint Special Operations Command community! You can find out more about them at www.jsoc-gamer.org Task Force Black Jack would like to announce its new mini-campaign with Unit 19 and the 10th Special Forces Group. Development of the upcoming mini-campaign Operation JIGSAW is in process. A project team has been assembled consisting of mission makers of each of the participating units. The units currently involved are 10th Special Forces Group, Unit 19 (tank unit) and Task Force Blackjack (infantry unit). The Operation: • Consists of five in-depth co-op missions • Is based on simulation style gameplay • Will have Role Play Game aspects • Will be taking place in a dynamic changing environment • Will be run with ACE2 and Arma 2 TS • Will be covering 3 different storylines, which meet each other occasionally as the operation evolves We are looking for more "actors" who would be playing the roles of for example USMC liaison officers, USMC support personnel, civilian informants. This project serves also as an opportunity to get a stronger connection between individual and unit related players throughout the community. TheBigHerm 10 Posted April 21, 2010 A Quick Update! Our Friday Night events have taken off! These events have steadily been drawing over 75 people a night. If you want a big game that is played tactically without all of the mess...come join us on Friday nights. We are currently recruiting, and as such, would like to let you know what billets are currently open: Infantry of any sort is always open to those of you that like to be up close and personal with your killing. Whether you have had prior training or are new to infantry, our leadership core of the infantry company are real life vets and would love to teach you a thing or two and would like to lead you into battle. Our Armor Company is recruiting! We are looking for a few good men to take part in mechanized infantry operations with the Bradley Fighting Vehicle and as a support element with the M1A2 Abrams. I am a United States Army tanker who has a thing or two to teach people about mech. infantry and armor operations. Our Aviation and Artillery Companies are recruiting. We are looking for crew chiefs and gunners to fit into the role of CAS and as transport elements. We are currently not recruiting for pilot. We have a pilot instructor and an Apache/UAV Pilot amongst our ranks, so training will be very precise and realistic. Our training is realistic in terms of procedure...but we filter out the BS. We will never ask our guys to do something or train someone on something that isnt game related. If you are interested please contact us. This is not to recruit or anything of the sort, it is to bring public players into the bigger games and to show people that not all servers only have one or two players. This is the 5th running of these Friday night events, and they have become fairly popular. Present will be members of our unit and the JSOC Community of Units. It requires cooperative team play to complete, we have yet to achieve success on this one but are determined to beat it. You don't have to know terminology, but you must know proper procedures in takeoff, landing, formation flying and so on. If you would like to schedule an interview, and take our flight test please check out our website at www.tf-blackjack.com We require that our pilots be active and outstanding members of our community. We are a high tempo unit, we are actively engaged in operations with the JSOC community as well as our own training and mission schedule. If you cannot devote at least 3 days a week, please do not apply. Your flight skills will be tested for duties as a Heavy Lift (CH-53, 46, and Chinook) pilot and/or Close Air Support Fixed Wing pilot. You MUST BE the best of the best, because people will be depending on your success. After your successful completion of the test, you will be trained by our REAL LIFE pilots in proper air procedures. We are also looking for those who may be interested in artillery. We are starting up our artillery company. If you are interested, check out our website listed above. We have decided to extend our unit's capabilities by launching a Special Forces Company and a new and Improved Air Wing. The Air wing is headed up by real life pilots who both know the lingo, and can train new pilots how to be an effective attack or air transport pilot. The ability of these leaders to do this sets us apart from other units. Our new special forces teams teach stealth, recon, Forward Air and Observation controls, and many other types of "alternative" tactics. This company has a very high wash out rate, and we only accept applications from those who are top notch.
