xgamrx 10 Posted March 5, 2010 Can you please consider optimizing ARMA II for ATI Radeon video cards? In particular, the Radeon HD 5800 series. Is there any plan for supporting the Direct X 11 API programming interface? I am thoroughly enjoying the game. P.S. I noticed the recent 12% performance increase in ARMA II with the latest Nvidia drivers. Can we expect this with ATI drivers? Thanks for all your efforts, -xgamrx-

ATi should optimized their drivers for the games, not the other way around. If you check the updates, you can see there are a lot of optimization for other...more commercial...games...You can contact ATI/nvidia via their forums anytime btw. It is their job to fix it, as it is their drivers. Is there any plan for supporting the Direct X 11 API programming interface? I am thoroughly enjoying the game. No. Maybe with the next installment - A3
MissionCreep 12 Posted June 6, 2011 (edited) And the Catalyst software is awful ... confusing, inconsistent and generally terrible user interface. And the interface properties and elements change from version to version. If you go online to troubleshoot, people in forums or the AMD website support say "Go to item "a" in menu "b"". You quickly find that in your version, Item "a" has been renamed "c" and is now in menu "d". I also found weird things like the screen resolution auto-detect changed after version upgrades (2 monitor setup). And God help you if it decides to reset to a resolution where, by the grace of shitty design, essential controls to reset or return to previous resolution are completely inaccessible in the user interface or non-existent. My pc recently crashed. Before the crash my CCC was allright and I could run arma2:OA as it should, without artifacts but after the crash I had to reinstall all my drivers and now my arma2 sometimes gives some artifacts (when you look in a direction you see meshes streched out without knowing where they come from)
