Azza FHI 50 Posted March 3, 2010 hey ive been looking around for a benchmark which shows the difference of a single 5970 card and then 2 in CF. with new 10.2 of course. if anyone can answer these questions its much appreciated. - does 5970 CF give performance boost? - if so, enough boost to be worth it? Kynxx 0 Posted March 7, 2010 bump indeed. hey. i have a 5870 graphics card from asus, today i tried to uninstall catalyst with all following bundled programs included the drivers, then rebooted, then executed ccleaner. then rebooted again. then installed just the drivers for my GPU. Now every game runs smoothly like a wet dream. PS: ArmA2 runs like a charm now :D I hope this helps my fellow gamers on planet earth. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
nuggetz 0 Posted March 8, 2010 I'm thinking of a 5970 as well but I can't seem to find anyone that carries this card in stock. Anyone know if Arma2 was benchmarked with this card or maybe 2? I run 2560x1600 and I just installed a 5850 and performance is better than my SLI'd 8800GTX's but could be better so I'm thinking of going 5970 cuz it seems like nVidias Fermi cards are going to be slower.
