High Command Editor questions.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I've made a map with three infantry squads that I want to give myself or the player control of.

My issue is that when I link my character to high command then link that HC module to the Subordinate HC module, then link the Subordinate module to the three squads I want to control, I still get high command of every unit on the map... And I have a LOT of units on this map.

Can someone explain to me how I can give myself command of only those three units and not the entire map?

Hah! I figured it out.

When I placed the High Command COmmander module it auto grouped with the subordinate module. I didn't realize that they were "grouped" instead of "synched" with eachother.

Well now I have another question.

How can I make units that I command get into a vehicle that I command? And then how do I make a helicoptor land instead of hover over an area?

I want my squad to get into a Knighthawk then to go where I tell it then disembark.

It seems like this would be simple enough but it's really not :(

Can not be done via HC. To land choppers and have troops get in/out has to be done via scripting. What I have done is have chopper land via addaction then troops in/out via addaction as well. It is closest you can get.

Hi MacScottie, the high command fuction is great but it has his limits 2,

one off those is getting your men in to vehicles, you can make your Inf.squads into Motorised or mechanised by puthing a vehicle in team,

And else in SP you can make the teamleaders off each squad playable so you can switch between teams to give them better orders!

hope its some help,

later
