MeatEtr 0 Posted February 13, 2010 It only happens once in awhile, the graphics stay soft or fuzzy like when out of breath. But it doesn't return to normal like it's suppose to. The only way to fix it is to reboot the game, reloading saves don't work. I gotta GF 9800GTX+ on the 195.62 drivers. Other than this annoying problem the game runs pretty good for me, any ideas? dmarkwick 261 Posted February 13, 2010 I had this for a short while, at the time I thought it was related to distant explosions affecting my sight via an ACE2 bug, seeing as it happened after an ACE2 update. Since updating again, I haven't had that problem.
Alex72 1 Posted February 13, 2010 See if your 3D resolution is under 100% - then that is your problem. Set it to 100% and everything gets clear and crisp. You find it under the resolution option in Video options.
MeatEtr 0 Posted February 13, 2010 Thanks for the replies. I have no mods installed at all, not yet anyway. I checked my resolution and it's already at 100% 1024x768 on my CRT Viewsonic monitor. Is it just me or is this effect(fuzzy or soft graphics) on purpose when your guy is out of breath or been running for awhile? Then after resting(like 10 seconds) his vision returns to normal(sharp and clear). Problem is it sometimes does not return to normal, ever, until rebooting the game. Any other ideas? [aps]gnat 28 Posted February 14, 2010 Try switching Post-Processing Effects to Disabled (my default) That always gave me soft fuzzy graphics

Alex72 1 Posted February 14, 2010 Yup, that fixed it alright, thank you very much! Leave it at LOW. Removes the distant blur but give you metal shine and weapon optics effects. Also gives you effects such as when shot (quick blur). Just a bit more immersive. :)
[aps]gnat 28 Posted February 14, 2010 Just a bit more immersive. :) Matter of taste. I still get metal shine etc .... but also better FPS
MeatEtr 0 Posted February 14, 2010 Yeah I do like the effect, when it works properly, so will leave at low. But the soft graphics problem still happens at that setting. So will just disable it when this problem comes up, but will use low when possible.
