Dogs of War Question.

Recommended Posts

It's odd not being able to make a specific thread topic...

I'm uncertain of something in Dogs of War. The dialogue hints I'm supposed to meet someone somewhere... but there doesn't actually seem to be any utility in it, and I can't find them at any rate. If this sounds familiar, read on!

After I take Chernogorsk, Shaftoe puts me in command of some Marines units. He tells me to get my butt down to the beach. I'm playing as the High Commander, and I'm a busy man. So I fast travel down to Chernogorsk to see him and spend a bunch of time rattling around the beach and there doesn't seem to be anyone worth talking to down there. There doesn't actually seem to be any reason to go to Chernogorsk. Is Shaftoe actually there and must I see him, or is it okay to skip that and continue commanding from my tent over tea and biscuits?

Thanks for the reply. The dialogue keeps hinting that I should go to Chernogorsk. "Wait until xxxxxx hears about this!", etc, but I know that there's nothing for me there!

For me shaftoe never turns up (See http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?p=1557566#post1557566) and not matter what i do the rest of the mission appears to be buggered.

Now I tried to play the EW mini campaign but that now appears to be broken near the end by invulnerable enemies

:(

With they would hurry up and fix this game so I can complete both campaigns before next christmas

steam seems to cause a lot of problems with hacks etc and so could be hurting you guys' game...

if playing single player then disconnect from net, physically, do not install steam and unfortunately,,, perhaps reinstall.

I did not install via steam or with steam and I have had zero problems with this game so far.... online and singleplayer.

I've only got 2gb ram, a 9800gt vid card and 3.2ghz cpu.

also ctrl alt del and see what processes are running, press user name and try to cut as many of those out as possible- for example java (jusched), and other things, some may be associated with vid card.
