Do you want to host a dedicated server that is always up, or only for when you are playing online.

I will assume a dedicated server, however its still the same concept if not.

To name and adjust the settings for your server you will need a server.cfg file.

http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/server.cfg#Example_Configuration_File

Copy that and save as a file titled server.cfg where the arma2 and arma2_server.exe are located (by default C:/Program Files/Bohemia Interaction/ARMA2).

Now, once this is made you can run arma2_server.exe and it will start a dedicated server console. If you have problems with the server not appearing, not loading the settings etc then post back here where we will be able to help further.

Regarding your second post, you can download a mission from various ArmA News/Addon sites which our community is lucky enough to have. ArmedAssault.info, ArmAHolic are two to start you off.

You should get a mission in a .pbo format. Dont try and open it, just put it in the folder in your ARMA2 directory named MPMissions. When you return to the missions screen in game it should automaticly be placed under the MP Missions list.

Why do you need the file?

You at least have to install server version from steam - tools if you ever going to find it.

But BIS have made Steam able to use something like 1024 characters in the "set launch options".

Well, I just wanna play when I'm online with my lil bro or just some friends. Cheers.
