John C Flett 0 Posted April 8, 2002 Okay I know its been discussed before but I want the Russians to talk Russian. I know it might slow me down a little having to read all the messages but I think I can live with it. I've been playing a lot of IL2 which is only in German and Russian and I do fine. Infact I can now recognise key messages by sound anyway. ( Yes. I probably have been playing too much ). And now I've downloaded the Russian sound pack for Comanche Hokum and it just sounds so much better. Anyway what occured to me is that the EECH Russian patch was ripped from the Russian version of the game rather than scratch written and thus a lot less work I would think. Now given that the Russian voices appear to be ann add-on in OFP rather than a buried file I'm wondering have BIS done a Russian version of the game? Are they going to? If so anybody out there willing to post the speech files that we might try working with them. Its got to be a lot easier than finding a Russian speaker and building them from scratch. Y'know that part in the Forest mission in the original campaign, when they capture you and start shouting at you in Russian?
