ALDEGA 0 Posted April 7, 2002 "my game lags at a fast rate" - Do you mean "input lag"? Or is it like it pauses very briefly every few seconds? Could you post your full specs?
Airwolf 50 Posted April 7, 2002 it pauses for about a half a second each half second, theres nothing wrong with joystick or mouse lag. My specs: Pentium 4 1.9 Gigahertz ATI Radeon 8500LE 128mb Soundblaster Live! 5.1 Digital 256mb PC133 SDRAM
kaifas 0 Posted April 8, 2002 use newest drivers and it "should" go away,9023 for win98\me 6052 for xp...had the same prob as you.Though to ensure it runs smooth DISABLE anisotropic filtering(Very importen that you do that with radeon, though it only needs that in OPF)
Airwolf 50 Posted April 8, 2002 my antestropic texture filtering doesnt have a disable option, it has "always on" or "application preference" they are both on application preference.
kaifas 0 Posted April 9, 2002 and its still laggy??have you tried changing drivers? another try is to defrag your hdd..it can speed things up a bit
Soback 0 Posted April 9, 2002 I would suspect your soundblaser is causing the problem. I have the same SB card and it causes slow downs in a lot of my games. Try to do this --> go into "Program files" , "DX" and run "DXdiag", click on the sound tab and turn down the sound acceleration to standard. See if that helps. Also, if you can afford it then replace that SB card and get a SantaCruz card. Well worth it.
Tales_From_Topographic_Oceans 0 Posted April 12, 2002 Airwolf: Was not there a TV show called Airwolf about 15 years ago? You have adjust your antestropic texture filtering from your windows desktop, not from the game. Right click on desktop, go to "properties." In some cards, you will also have to click on "settings" and then "advanced properties" Go to Avon Lady's help desk: Avon Lady click on trouble shooting on right menu
