Help needed from Mission maker

I downloaded a Dom variant for Isla Duala which appears to have some dramas anyway. But I've made changes and included the new Logistics and Artillery scripting, which if used with the Map Plus addon for Forward Observers could mean some fantastic artillery support.

However a few problems and I am hopeless at mission editing.

1. The Domination component seems to have stopped working in that it is not generating objectives.

2. The Engineer can't repair.

3. The class selection list needs to be cleaned up and organised.

4. I want the classes to be specific, so only pilots can fly, crewmen can use armoured vehicles.

5. Make sure the revive used is the best option available.

6. The old BI artillery module and aiming to be removed.

7. Player controlled artillery able to use various ammunition types.

8. Wreck heli and wrecked vehicles on being destroyed.

Please can someone check this out for me? Oh I also need to know the island height for Duala for the artillery to work properly, how do I find this?

Some dramas? Explain please. I don't have the island, but I'm modding Domination into Domino. Btw, that dev-heaven site under user conversion would be a good place to look for help, as most people there are heavily into modding that mission. No guarantees though. I'm based on non revive (don't like it anymore), using ACE version only, going for a limited access to weaponry approach (not optional), more infantry oriented.

Make sure -showscripterrors are used on your startup, also visit your Arma.rpt frequently. (Precompiled only?) functions with unmatched brackets (of certain types?) may cause a mission failure and no idea on what is going wrong.

1. Does x_scripts\x_createnexttarget.sqf even start?

2. d_is_engineer in i_common.sqf. If this is correct, does engineer get any actions at all (like Analyze vehicle)?

3. That's your job :) Only you know where you want to go with your edit. Check my mod for a way different setup than default.

4. d_only_pilots_can_fly in i_client.sqf. For crewmen I think you have to make your own similar approach.

5. Sorry, I don't use revive anymore.

6. It's not in use, not sure why it's still in the mission.

7. Careful, most of the advanced munitions fail miserably in multiplayer. Effects won't show etc (huge locality issues). See my edit for how to make effects visible for clients, although I only use the default Domination munition types.

8. I can't figure out what you try to say here.

Can't really do so much more, as I'm busy with my own. First tip is to get a decent text editor and compare tool. I prefer UltraEdit and UltraCompare. What ever you choose, make sure it has very good search and replace tools, as well as search and replace within files. Bracket matching, syntax highlighting, pattern matching (regular expressions), identing, block editing are also nice features. Compare should have on the fly replacing between versions, directory checking, and 3 way checking if possible (not used that much). And obviously, get a tool to edit fsms if you haven't already. Maybe you don't need to edit them much, but you will have to examine them to follow what is going on.
