How to create groups in ArmA II?

Recommended Posts

Hallo all!

I need to know how to create groups!;)

I need to create a Russian group and then make it attack a BLUFOR group that's just got out of a vehicle!:D

Best Regards, SGJackson!

Instead of clicking untis, click groups. I think it is F2 but i haven't used the editor a whole lot.

There is most likely an easier way to do this, or a better way to do this... Just bear with me, this is the only way I know.

Create a trigger so when the BLUEFOR enters a certain area the OPFOR will then proceed on with the attack, very simple small battle it sounds like you want to make.

ALSO: I would suggest you go to youtube.com

Search "Arma 2 Tutorials"

You will learn A LOT there. Trust me, thats how i learned.

Happy editing!

Thanks BittleRyan, but i think i didn't express myself in my post... I want to create them while mission is RUNNING (meant FROM NOWHERE) like in a trigger or something... And adding a waypoint to it, witch, i think, it's the hardestm part 'cause: HOW TO ADD A WAYPOINT TO A GROUP THAT DOESN'T EXIST?!

Best Regards, SGJackson!

Check/search the forum for spawning units. Same for attaching waypoints to units.

Some of them have the answer you're looking for.

Best, Splicer.

Is there a way to create custom groups?

For example, I want to make groups for the Australian At War mod because it didn't come with any. I know I can just make create units and group them but I would like to have an easier way.

Do you actually mean custom groups that are selectable in the Editor under F2 or just create groups without linking them in the Editor?

If there's no group available then the content creator needs to add it. Not sure if anything can be done.
