Hyperthreading Enabled or Disabled?

I have a i7 920.

I currently have HT off because ive heard its not good with this game.

Besides dont really need all 8 lol.

But will turning it on give me better performance in huge battles?

There is no real benefit for having HT on in Arma 2 (assuming you don't run other heavy applications at the same time, which is most likely the case while actually playing), however there are benefits to having it off in certain situations, as the game simply does not spawn 8 threads that actually use much CPU. Seems like 3 at most? So basically HT will use 3 1/2-cores at more than 50% effectiveness instead of just using 3 cores.
