Flaxpants 10 Posted January 12, 2010 Hi. I've recently started getting an error message when starting up Arma 2: No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgGlasses.gasmask_helmet'. Also it seems whichever character I choose in the editor, and in some missions, they are always wearing a gasmask, no doubt connected somehow. Tried running the game with no mods at all and still get the same message. This started happening before 1.05 and I am sure it is mod related but don't understand why I should still get it when running no mods. Is it a config file problem?, and are mods capable of altering the core Arma2 config files? Anybody have any ideas?
PuFu 4600 Posted January 12, 2010 please copy paste here the shortcut line you are using.
Flaxpants 10 Posted January 12, 2010 I'll have to get that to you tomorrow as am not on my games machine right now, though how much use it will be to you I don't know, as I use my own terminology for the modfolders. As I mentioned tho, I also get the error with no mod extensions on the shortcut. Presumably you want to know which mods I have been running? I can list them if so as that will make more sense to you than my shortcut.

Alex72 1 Posted January 13, 2010 First off, apologies for the double post."C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -mod=@CBA;@Fire;@F16;@A10;@Veh_Weap;@LandTex;@Chinook;@ad_helos;@Vop;@BlackOps;@BRMC;@Terrorists;@lightfx;@Seals;@WarFX;@Tracers;@Japahto;@Afghan;@Brit;@EUV;@terr_veh;@Mguns;@Namalsk;@Pant;@Quesh;@Duala Jesus man. Firstly i would recommend make special folders for more than 1 thing in them like @ISLANDS and put all islands in it etc. It just gets out of hand the way you do it. I have no idea what the problem with gasmasks is though since thats in ACE and i cant see you running it. Maybe some units made for ACE? EDIT: This is what im running atm: -mod=@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_SM;@ISLANDS;@XTRAS and it contains a crap load of islands/units/vehicles/effects etc etc (xtras have it all). So i can just cut it out and run ACE clean instead of removing hundreds. :)
Flaxpants 10 Posted January 13, 2010 Yes, my last post was incomplete, was using the quick reply and my 6 yr old came and hit the enter key in the middle of it. Didn't want to do a triple post. I'm not using the ace mod at the moment, you're right, and thanks for the tip re putting several mods in a single folder, I wasn't aware till now that you could do that, will certainly make things easier. With regards the gas mask, I haven't added any new units since the ace mod came out, however I have added some missions. If it is a mission, it may explain why I'm still getting the error message whilst running zero mods, the missions are still there. I'll give it a go later and see. Thanks for your help.
