Duncanm007 10 Posted January 7, 2010 I have a version of Arma2 installed on my old computer, and am moving onto a better machine, I am aware as to how i can migrate the program across, but was wondering if there was any easy way to decode the hex key in the registry so that i can simply reinstall it with the disk rather than transfering it across
ActionMan 10 Posted January 8, 2010 Why do you need to decode the key? If you've got a disk, didn't it come with the key on paper?
BeerHunter 0 Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) Why do you need to decode the key? If you've got a disk, didn't it come with the key on paper? My thoughts exactly. A hell of a lot easier to simply reinstall and retype the key than to try and "migrate" and bugger around in the registry. You can easily copy your profile and config files to retain your settings using a normal copy/paste. I'll be building a new machine and thats what I'll be doing , not farting around with a "migration". Edited January 8, 2010 by BeerHunter
Placebo 29 Posted January 8, 2010 Such questions often refer to less than legitimate users, install the game on your new PC from your disk/digital download, use the CD Key from your paid for version, problem solved.
