Minoza 11 Posted December 30, 2009 So, I'm pretty sure I'm not doing anything wrong. I dePBO mission file using Eliteness, place mission folder inside Documents/Arma 2 Other Prifiles/[My Profile]/MPMissions (also tried Missions but same result...) but from editor I can't open mission, it doesn't recognize mission being in that folder. On the other hand if I create mission and save it, it saves to Missions folder and I can open it again. Any clues? Btw. I've done this before and it worked, dunno when it got messed up, didn't try with 1.03 and 1.04 patches... I'm @ 1.05, Windows 7 Ultimate x64, rest is in my signature
Alex72 1 Posted December 30, 2009 Sounds weird. You should place them in "Missions" folder. And from there save to Scenarios (SP) or to MultiPlayer. However i recognize this happening at some point, but i cant remember what was wrong. I think youll have an answer soon enough. :)
i3luevein 10 Posted December 30, 2009 Try using arma unpbo. Sometimes the pbo will get distorted for lack of better words depending on what was used to compress or decompress the file. I always use arma to compress the file and arma unpbo to decompress. Also if a mission has a weird filename it won't recognize it. Try taking one of you working mission folders, using the name of that folder for the folder that is not working. Be shure to rename the folder you are useing for the name to like "mymission1.pbo". If the changed name works then on exit save the mission to whatever you want it named. Before you pbo it be shure to move all the mission files into the new directory before using arma1/2 to repbo the file. You can do this by alt tab and moving them. You will not have to shut arma down for this operation. Then repbo. Hope it helps Answer from garypjohnson

oktane 0 Posted December 31, 2009 Answer from garypjohnson FYI, in the example: "mymission1.pbo", this wouldnt load.. if you decompressed it. it would normally be called "mymission1.islandName.pbo" if it doesnt have the island name in the depbo'd directory name, it wont show up. Here is a full path for a working mission, maybe it will help you figure out what is wrong. C:\Users\oktane\Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\CW5%20oktane\MPMissions\co12_Hijack.utes\ and in that directory is mission.sqm That is the minimum you'd need to see a mission show up. On windowsxp, 'users' is called 'documents and settings'. and 'Documents' is called 'my documents' Also here is a little tutorial http://www.506th-pir.org/scripts/oktane/tutorials/simpleedit/
Minoza 11 Posted January 1, 2010 That's exactly how I've done it but for some reason it wont work. I'm sure I'm not doing anything wrong, as I said, I've done this before and it worked...
Minoza 11 Posted January 3, 2010 Moderators please change this to SOLVED Anyways, I figured out... Man, what a stupid thing was causing this... You see, I was using a shortcut for entering in editor... You know which one I'm talking about? CTRL + E That doesn't work I guess when it comes to opening missions... I solved this by going to Single Player -> Editor... Anyways, I'm gonna toss myself on converting Evo for ACE now :D Without damn MHQ!!! lol
