luderich 10 Posted December 27, 2009 Hello y'all. My game starting flickering since I've updated to 1.05 . It's kinda like a I've just found on Youtube. It shows pretty much exactly my problem, except for it's everywhere i just look at, not just while lookin at the sun. It's happening randomly, sometimes it's completely gone and sometimes it's unplayable. Even if i just look around it can start, or if i switch the view. My sys: Graphic: 5850 Driver: Catalyst 9.12 (Hotfix) I've tryed a couple of things that couldn't solve the problem: - Catalyst 9.11 - Complete reinstall - vsync off/on - AF 0/16 - AA 0/8 - Post processing off/high I would go back to 1.04 but, the performance boost in 1.05 is awesome. Since i was able to "play" the game a few minutes, it felt so much better as 1.04 So it's really important to me to fix this problem ;)

no use for a name 0 Posted December 27, 2009 (edited) go back to 1.04, performance isn't that improved.:( uh, negative. Maybe for you, but performance is improved for me and others, as the OP said: I would go back to 1.04 but, the performance boost in 1.05 is awesome. Not to mention the HUNDREDS of bug fixes since 1.04...think before you give out worthless information Edited December 27, 2009 by No Use For A Name
luderich 10 Posted December 28, 2009 Not to mention the HUNDREDS of bug fixes since 1.04... I agree, since the game randomly seems to run flawless, I was able to test the patch a little bit and i admit, thats a real nice patch we got there. I seriously look out for every solutions. Seems like, whatever i do, it's not going away. I'am feeling exhausted from trying different graphic settings on driver and ingame and nothing seems to work. I just realized, i can crank up ArmA2 to the max and have still a pretty neat game experience. :butbut: Anyone?!
=S= Den 10 Posted December 29, 2009 Have the same problem
disobey 10 Posted December 30, 2009 I have a 4870x2 and had the same problem until patch 1.05. I found that prior to that patch I had to disable vsync. Try ensuring catalyst AI is set to "advanced" in your drivers and do not force AA on.

luderich 10 Posted December 31, 2009 have you intslled the no blur mod? Ouh snap, i totally forgot that no blur mod, i was so used to it. :D After deleting Shaders_DefPP.shdc it seems to work flawless, no flickering. Thanks for the hint, still cant explain how it went back in the game folder as i moved the addons back in. Anyway, thank you, finally i can enjoy arma again! btw. that patch is epic, i never had such a great game experience as with 1.05! :butbut:

If you use the 1.04 build for the 1.05 patch you have this flickering problem.
