bingbongsdead 10 Posted December 17, 2009 When i play ArmA 2 after about 5+ minutes my computer will crash without warning i dont know what is happening. it only used to happen when i played chernarus life but now it happens when i play singleplayer and other MP matches. i cant join any MP matches anymore it comes up with some text saying files have been deleted and you cannot play/edit this mission (thats not specific by the way, i have what it fully comes up with in my other post about that). i have tried re-installing arma about 3 times and also tried re-installing all the patches i even downloaded them all again. i read in another thread about someones ArmA crashing because of US special forces but ive been looking for that file everywhere and i cant find it so that cant be the problem. i really need help anyone know what is going on??? i dont want to have wasted my money. You can find beta patches here http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php The error you are talking about simply means that you are trying to join a server that requires a mod that u dont have. What do you mean with your computer crashes ? Just the game crashes, pc freezes, reboots, blue screens ? Post more details ;) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Colt45_GTO 10 Posted December 18, 2009 its quite possible that its not software but hardware related. give the pc a good dusting internally. it might well be overheating causing a system fail. this will simply shut down (freeze) all running programs and resorces. so turn off and unplug the pc and pull the side of the pc off and look at the heatsinks on both the cpu and vid card. you will probably find them pretty clogged with furr. use a good (newish) 1" paint brush and push/loosen the dust, furr and other crap off the fans. you can use a vacuum with the thin nozil to suck out what you loosen. i been doing this for years, its very safe providing the pc is off!
