Penfolde 1 Posted December 15, 2009 (edited) Hi all ,... been a while sinse I last used the forum, Recently just upgraded to Windows7 and I've encounter a new problem! I seems that the graphics are very lazzy in completeing the rendering processe. Is this a nuther 8gig memory problem again? Bulldogs 10 Posted December 15, 2009 It's more likely a bottleneck, most likely at the hard drive. I think everyone has had it to some degree, most it's very small and virtually un-noticable, but optimising yoiur hard drive (and in extreme cases, using an SSD) usually gets rid of it to the most part. nocturna 10 Posted December 16, 2009 I had that alot with my 8800 but once i got a 5850 it stopped being an issue, still happens everytime i spawn in a new place that i didnt load before, but everything loads much faster so i guess how much RAM your gfx card has matters alot
-RIP- Luhgnut 10 Posted December 16, 2009 correct. it's vidcard memory. to help (not cure) defrag. it will still go bonkers but should clear up faster.
Bulldogs 10 Posted December 17, 2009 On second thought, I could be wrong but I just looked at the picture and that doesn't look like the texture popping problem (the Hard drive->GPU bottleneck), it looks more like the 8gb ram problem. Does -winxp help?
