Drumheller 19 Posted December 5, 2009 Arma would NOT launch on my D2D install in Windows 7 64 bit. I could install it seemingly fine but when I try to start the game I get the 32 bit incompatibility message. The solution was: Get a different unzip program for the download. I used 7zip. I know it's a bizarre solution, but when you unzip the arma 2 install files the default windows unzipper messes the files up somehow. It took me about 6 hours of searching to see an obscure post on these forums that suggested this. Since I was at my wit's end I tried it just in case and the game is running 100% now. I really really hope others with this problem find this post. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher."
