SRS 0 Posted December 2, 2009 (edited) I have a small island less than 5km. I made it to check out this new to me, texture tool, I ran across. But in the last few days. I have thought about going ahead and making an island for the game. Thing is I am in Arma not Arma2. What would be a good point for me to break at and upload the island for usability in Arma2. Or would you be able to use it in Arma2. Even if it were completed for Arma? Edited December 2, 2009 by SRS
oldbear 390 Posted December 2, 2009 To get it in ArmA2, you will have to use objects from ArmA 2. So you must get the updated BIS tools set and verify you have the right Visitor3 for ArmA2 ... If you had a Desert map you are doomed ..., have to wait until ArrowHead release. If you have a Central-Europe map, you can find things you can use but you will have to search and replace all the objects, plants, ... You will have to rebuild the roads network, you can try to export roads and change names in a text editor, it will work for some parts and models. You can use the ground textures from your ArmA map, but you will have to change clutters in config. You will have to get a "mid_texture" and add it in the ArmA2 config. Well, that's for the start ... SRS 0 Posted December 2, 2009 Ok thanks I can square it pre clutter etc... and wait till I get Arma2. Which will probably be when arma3 comes out and there done patching and improving arma2.
