PBO creator?

Recommended Posts

Alright, I now have it, if I am not mistaking cbpo opens and creates PBO files. How exactly do I do either of those, I have tried opening a PBO with it but it did not work.

I got the cpbo program to create PBOs, but how exactly do I use cpbo to get a .pbo file to the point where it is editable in the mission edit, and the scripts are easily manageable?

double click a pbo and it extracts the contects into a new folder inside the pbo folder.

I have no idea what you mean by that. I double click it, where does it extract the contents? What PBO folder?

double click a pbo and it extracts the contents of the pbo into a new folder with the same name as the pbo. It creates this folder inside the same folder where the pbo resides.

I selected the PBO file and told it to open with cbpo. I then double clicked it and all that would happen is the run command box would open for a milisecond before closing. It does not create a folder. Did i do anything wrong?

Thanks!

No, there's a ton of posts about this already. This problem has effected me since it was released all those years ago. Myself and others have mentioned this problem before but nobody has provide a solution yet. I just use eliteness or pboview to open a .pbo. That's really the only solution there is at this point.

right click on the PBO that you are wanting to open. then select "run as administrator". I think that may help you

Also, PBO's should never be needed to be associate with cpbo, from memory when you run it the first time it does it all for you.

Maybe run cpbo the first time as administrator as well.
