Duke_of_Ray 0 Posted April 1, 2002 At my house I ahev one phone line. When ever I am on the net and somebody calls it knocks me off. This becomes very annoying after several times and I am wondering how can i stop it? I have call waiting,could that be it? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Mister Frag 0 Posted April 1, 2002 You didn't say where you live, or who your telephone company is, but there should be a code to disable the call-waiting feature on a per-call basis. If you look at the Dial-Up Networking properties, there should be a checkbox there that indicates whether you have call-waiting on your phone line, and the code to send to disable it for the duration of the modem-initiated call. In the United States, you can look in the front of your telephone book (white pages) to see what the code is, or you can call the operator by dialing 0 and ask.
