pathfinder 0 Posted April 1, 2002 I checked it out and had fun , good placement of some classic tunes LoL , but I fear the day you get your hands on OXY. I can see it now we'er at the extraction point with our tank of helium and A bright red weatherballon on a long line, waiting for the C-130 to rip us off the ground at 300mph via A snag and drag extract rig. But that might be a little to tame for you 8) Good work!
Phisher 1 Posted April 1, 2002 Not to bust your bubble but I didnt like it too much... Good Idea but the intros seem to be made with the triggers and were very sketchy, The first time I started I got to the part where the heli crashes it then went to my guy, but I was in slow motion for about 5 seconds until the next trigger. Also I dont know if you wanted the Scud to stop while it was shooting off but it did and the sound that the scud makes when it is fired repeated about 4 times, It was a long walk to a simple mission, the fighting only lasted about 3 minutes, and that song was playing when I was fighting, good song but I don't think it is a good Idea to play then right when Im engaging (can't here if I am being fired at), I like how you placed many objects, the hemp really wasn't really necessary. And the ending was kinda lame, it was just me told to stand by, and then it ended. It was enjoyable but I think you should do your intros with scripts (you might have but it didnt seem like it) maybe it was easy because its a first mission of a campaign, dont know. Just keep working on it, I would give it a 4/10 Don't take this personall either, just my opinion which isn't much
§nake 0 Posted April 1, 2002 where do I get EBUD's JUNGLE EVERON v1.2?
CarolCray 0 Posted April 2, 2002 pathfinder: Sounds like a SoP Jungle extraction to me... In high-school my ROTC teacher was ex-sf in nam... he had scares all the way up the right side of his body for being extracted once just as you discribed. The crew later later told him they were not sure if they had him... because it looked like the were wenching in a tree... he was dragged a good 1/4 mile thru tree tops... OUCH! 11Bravo... ah yes, the good old days:) enjoy... Phisher Hey no problem. I can take it:) Well this was only my second attempt at INTRO's... I did use triggers for everything because I would not have a clue (yet:) as to how to script an intire INTRO. SO... yes the intire sequence is heavily based on the reactions of AI... GRRRR! I noticed myself the AI would blow everything about every 5th time I played it. Obviously when you tryed to play the mission the commies (AI) disobeyed ALL there orders... Double GRRRR! Try watching just the INTRO again. It took me 3days to get that sequence to play right... I know it does... it's just the "now and again" AI glitches... Guess I gotta learn some new tricks to keep this from happening eh? You are correct the edning (for now) is rather lame and without any OUTRO's. This is because the next mission in the Campaign is incomplete right now. A proper ending will be added once the 2nd mission is finished. </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">It was a long walk to a simple mission<span id='postcolor'> um hello?... you hit a freakin Hind mid-fight to you ejection point... did you think that was the plan? LoL:) Besides once the 5t leaves you could have busted a cap in the UAZ driver and stole his jeep... hmmm... are you sure your up for this? hehhehee... just kidding:) Oh.. about the pot... actually it a very intricate part of the Campaign. If you read my web-site's Campaign section you would have understood and simply noted it as part of future missions within the Campaign. Thank for the input... look for a tweaked v2.0 coming soon
CarolCray 0 Posted April 3, 2002 ***V 2.0 now available*** **FIXED BUGS** The INTRO should run flawlessly now. But there is still chance they will mess up the missions begining cut-scence's ever now and then. SO... if things look a bit confusing at mission begining simply hit 'retry' to start the cut-scene over. JUST IN CASE: HERE is what SHOULD HAPPEN: Once you read thru the breifing and hit start a 15sec cutscence will begin. You will see: 1) Your SCUD hit a Hind mid-air in slow-motion. -fade out- -fade in- 2) Same scene different angle, again in slow-motion. Only in this clip you can also see your SCUD hitting the ground in far background and your team parachuting to the ground. 3) Interenal camera of man (cray) hitting ground and passing out. -fade to black- -fade in- 4) You've gotten up and are running toward the crash site... -END CUTSCENE- Player takes control. Approx. 100hrs. went into this one opening mission for my Campaign: TheCRAY ===============

CarolCray 0 Posted April 4, 2002 Sure... but only if I could get a link to your site:) BTW: Please keep in mind the 3 SM's currently on my site are actually the missions you will be playing IN the Campaign... therefore are generally considered to be BETA's of the Final product... Campaign: TheCray This way I have 'running input' on how the Campaign is going, and the direction it will eventually take.
