I'm building a night op, meant for urban combat. A green chute wouldn't be the best at a drop zone for trying to be invisible. I'm looking for some that are pure black, or urban camo. If there isn't any, would someone look into making them? Also, I want your opinion on the topic... I mean, why hasn't this been asked before? Or has it?

I've personally never seen anything except OD green chutes in my career. But, hey it's not a terrible idea. More than that, I would like to see different variations of chutes. The one used in the game resembles the plain old T-10C. I would like to see the MC-1B or C, and to have it be manueverable just like the real ones. Maybe the "smokejumper" (I forget the nomenclature) rig that 10th SFG(A) uses here in Colorado. Which is very manueverable. I got airborne on the brain though, and I doubt I'll ever see such things in OFP.

Not to say I know jack shit about chute colors.. but I thought there were other colors in the military for spec ops and stuff like that? I've seen some pure black ones before, I am unsure if they've been used by the military.. but there are some laws against civies using them.. so they must be.. right?

lol, that would be unfortunate.. dumbass civie decides black is a cool chute color, lands and there is 50 soldiers surrounding him telling him to "Get on the god damn ground!"

it would be cool if you could free fall and then pull the rip cord and would be really cool to stear too

well a guy named ACT made a HALO jump script where you free-fall for a while, then jump, and i ran across a steerable schute awhile back. If you could combine those features with a new parachute model, it would really rock
