-GCA- Salah ad Din 10 Posted November 2, 2009 Hi, I was wondering about a strange behavior of the game in multiplayer. If you use your number keys to say something (for example 5 + 4 = "Injured"), the voice over is in the soldiers language, but the subtitles are in the language of the players game installation. What more, other players receive the subtitles ALSO in the players language. So, since I have the German version of the game, all my buddies in my squad have to read the German subtitles. Aside from the fact that I cannot change the game language to English, the game should display subtitles from radio transmissions of other players not in the sending player's language but in the receiving player's one. -GCA- Salah ad Din 10 Posted November 21, 2009 I can't believe that nobody has yet noticed this bug, or wants to comment on that?
rellikki 7 Posted November 21, 2009 It's a known issue. There's already some discussion about it in the general Arma 2 forum section: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=90591 And I agree that localized games should have the option to switch to English. For now you could try the unofficial English patch. It should be somewhere in the Addons & Mods: Complete forum section, if you look around.
-GCA- Salah ad Din 10 Posted November 25, 2009 Yah, well, sadly, that english patch will prevent me from joining most servers.
