soupdragon 10 Posted November 1, 2009 I get an error when I try to run the latest beta (Build 59857) I get the following error. Runs fine when I use the vanila 1.04. Seems to be associated with the patch. I am running Win 7 Ultimate with 4Gb mem and a GT8800(512) SD
Zipper5 74 Posted November 1, 2009 Make sure your shortcut points to the arma2.exe in the beta folder, as well as loading the beta folder as a mod. That's why you're getting that error. One or the other isn't done properly.
malick 0 Posted November 1, 2009 I have the same issue and cannot use beta build 1.04.59857 Specs : WinXP SP3 AMD 4800X2 2Go DDR2 GF8600GT 256Mo DDR3 nVidia drivers 191.07 Any idea ? cole 0 Posted November 1, 2009 are you guys pointing your shortcut to the beta .exe aswell? Correct beta usage: "C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\beta\arma2.exe" -mod=beta

Master85 1 Posted November 1, 2009 should be -mod=beta
NeMeSiS 11 Posted November 1, 2009 What is the @ doing there? The beta folder is called 'beta' not '@beta'. ;)
soupdragon 10 Posted November 1, 2009 Jeez that was quick. :) AHHH. I just noticed that myself. I was messing around lastnight and must have mixed up my folders DOH!! Changed it and it works now. SD
Alex72 1 Posted November 1, 2009 Only folders that have @ in front should have it in the command line. The beta folder never has it nor does addons HAVE to have it. But you make them so all addon folders lump up together. Easier to spot them. ;)
malick 0 Posted November 1, 2009 lol I didn't pay attention to this ! OK thanks, it works now With build 59875 though ;) Malick
fincuan 0 Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) An even easier way to separate official stuff from addons: Put all modfolders to a subfolder. For example move all your modfolders for Arma2\x\, and voila, you no more have umpteen folders cluttering the main Arma2-folder Loading them from there works just as before, only you have to give the new path. Ie. -mod=@MyÃœberMods would now be -mod=x\@MyÃœberMods. Edited November 2, 2009 by Fincuan
