-=seany=- 5 Posted October 18, 2009 I was setting up my Saitek X52 properly today and I found some annoying bugs with the Control mapping system. Anyone one who owns a X52 or similar HOTAS stick with programmable software knows that it is much better to create a profile with the stick software and map key presses that way, rather than assigning everything in game (especially when the game has default controls mapped for every command) Also you can use things like Shift states on the stick to allow a load of commands to be programmed to your stick. It makes customizing your controls much easier and when reinstalling the game you don't have to go through all the hassle of assigning dozens of buttons. The bugs: I have Lean left set to "Q" (default) and "LCTRL+Q" set to Command Fire. When I press "LCTRL+Q" it makes my character lean left and Command Fire. I have GPS set to "G" and I have "RCTRL+G" set to landing gear down, this causes GPS to show and the gear to go down whenever you press "RCTRL+G". These are just two examples of the problem, but you get the idea. Basically, whenever the game detects a Modifier it should treat the following key as a separate command and not activate any other command assigned to the same key that don't use a modifier. I am sure it would be pretty easy to fix.
