I'm not sure you'd want to stop a jet in the air would you? Imagine going on your holidays...

i think it will make the plane/heli attempt to remain at the grid co-ords you issued the order at, i suppose the plane would circle.

Stop

Stop AI unit.

Stopped unit will not be able to move, fire, or change its orientation to follow a watched object.

It may still change the stance if deemed appropriate (e.g. under fire).

Use disableAI to disable specific AI capabilities.

Syntax:

Object = effectiveCommander vehicle

Parameters:

vehicle: Object

Return Value:

Object

I don't think it is possible with Planes.

This thread can't be for real.

He may not just be talking about planes though, what about choppers, does stop make them go into auto hover mode?

Good point. But I thought that would be obvious. Would actually be useful if it made the choppers land though...

ive used stop for choppers and they just fly on over and take forever to circle back to the stop point and fly way over again and circle back and they do it over and over

If you tell them to get out (4, 1) they will land. If there is a HeliH around a few hundred meters, they will land on that, otherwise in a suitable landing spot. Go take a piss while they are figuring that out what is suitable though. :) Otherwise there is this http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/land
