Try running the game from the Arma2.exe in your arma2 install directory (not the shortcut)

Try uninstalling.

Then delete your install folder (C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive)

Go into the registry (regedt32) but be careful! Don't delete something by accident.

In fact, make a backup using Windows System Restore or a registry program if you have one.

Go into:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall

All the keys have unique coded names, but look for the one for ArmA2.

If the uninstall was successful, it might not be there.

At this point, you can try again, but you might end up having to delete:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive Studio

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bohemia Interactive

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Bohemia Interactive Studio

Verify everything your deleting before you delete an entire key.

Make sure you still have your CD key written down somewhere, because it's going to have been deleted from the registry.

Done everything you said deleted

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive Studio

Then installed Arma 2 same message
