The Zohan 10 Posted October 13, 2009 First things first. My Spec: Windows Vista 64bit Intel Core i7 2.66ghz ATI radeon 4870x2 (2GB) 6 GB DDR3 CORSAIR RAM Creative Soundblaster X-fi Right. I'm in the Manhattan area of the game and have many saved games in and around the chedaki final base camp, and have now after 4 retries got to a point where the game is unplayable because : there is a tank nearby with a dead driver which i use each time, because the BOOMERANG team never turn up. I destroy the base, check the leader blow up the last sentry camp and drive back to manhattan saving/autosaving along the way. I reach the base and finish the mission and start the next one, and whenever I die it loads me back to save game before I blow up the Chedaki Main base! It forgets all 4 autosaves and any overwrites I tried. I've noticed that when i save the game the save time on the files does not change and remains what it was before. Whenever I press 'esc' in the cutscene where shaftoe is announcing in the manhattan base it crashes, and if i don't i get past but like i say the game does not save. One or two other things. My game was not patched inbetween saves. I run on ATI catalyst 9.9. The game lags at 12 FPS if I have it higher than normal graphics setting which angers me too, and it's around 20 on normal, which is irritating considering my high end rig. Also, I have tried the win xp and maxmen parametres, and they don't help with game running whatsoever. I can just about live with lag but no savegames? This has to be a joke. Any help would be appreciated.
no use for a name 0 Posted October 13, 2009 make sure your save directories (documents and settings\Arma 2\) aren't "read only". If it's not that then IDK...maybe somehow your admin rights changed and it's not letting you modify anything in your Documents folder? Just throwing out ideas because all my saves work fine. As for the lag, have you tried turning Hyper Threading off in BIOS?
