Gruntcrazy 10 Posted October 7, 2009 When i was playing the demo i realized that flying helicopters is not as easy as it was in Flashpoint, and i was wondering if it was possible to set up an xbox360 controller to run on ARMA 2. I can set up my controller to work on my pc but before i start downloading things, has anyone else heard of or IS using a diffrent controller then the keyboard?
TimRiceSE 10 Posted October 7, 2009 of course you can use more than a keyboard as a controller in ArmA2. I have a stick for flying fixed/rotary wing. Im sure ive heard of people using 360 controllers in arma2, so im sure you cna fly with it too.

TimRiceSE 10 Posted October 7, 2009 http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=4847 is a very nice guide for using the mission editor : its primarily made for ArmA1, however very very little has changed with the basics. Good luck :)

Means more laid back position while playing with still the mouse aiming accuracy. It works fine with ArmA 2 BTW but the trigger buttons need a programming software as they don't appear supported for digital functions, maybe work okay for analogue ones but never tested it. nukey 10 Posted October 7, 2009 I use a wired 360 pad, but only for the vehicles. Its so much easier to fly with it. I still use the keyboard and mouse for general running and shooting though. Setting the controls is a bit of nightmare, but at least you can do it on the fly. Its not really geared up for the pad, so like matey said, it can become a bit awkward, but it still well worth it. I just had a marathon session in the Armoury going from one vehicle to the next while setting it up and eventually got a setup I was comfortable with.
