arma 2 has encountered a problem and must now close

I get this crash everytime I play arma 2... My system specs are good, I only get this crash after upgrading to 1.04... RPT file below. It happens while playing... I have reinstalled several times and re-patched.

is that from a custom mission or a stock one? I usually don't mess with SP missions. The rpt says it is happening in the sp_trialbyfire. If it is a custom, the author needs to fix it, if stock, I dunno? Buglist?

are these saved missions? And your path is not default, is there some issue with your user/documents/missions and your D:\.... path/

I read somewhere that saved missions may not work after patching, so maybe that's it? Really wish we could help ya Baz

I am having the same problem. After installed patch 1.04, game always crashes.

I just resumed the campaign from the last point I saved before update. Is this the problem ?

Will test with a single player mission to see if it works. Wish me luck!

yes if you use 1.03 saves on 1.04 you will crash. same for 1.02 to 1.03, ect.

it just did it to me in the main load screen, not into a saved game. I updated direct X and still the same... Something wonky with the patch, arma 2 never did this until I put the patch in.
