soldier2390 0 Posted September 30, 2009 (edited) hi everyone...upon viewing the "Snow.... Winter... Snowfall? " thread, i decided i would make a universal "heavy winter mod"! this mod will contain all u.s. bis vehicles in all white snow camo! and an air pack as well, which will most likley contain all u.s. bis aircraft in either or all white camo or white and grey snow camo..with all white underbellys(including my u.s.a.f. c-130h) and off corse snow troops! My current status: Vehicles: .all bis hmmwv familly .all bis 5t truck familly .all bis m113 familly .all bis styker familly .m1a1 abrams .m1030 motorbike Troops: .all bis u.s. army troops(in basic all white..representing the us military heavy winter overcoat\pants, but im trying to ask rocket if i can use his "usec snow troops" as they use pretty accurate overcoats with hood\pants) My Future Projects Vehicles: .snowmobile (if anyone has one or is making one please let me know...i cant make it from scratch) .all bis boats(will be done shortly) .all bis SLA vehicles in winter camos .and more to come..also suggestions are always welcome!!! Troops: .heavy winter soldiers (using rockets "usec winter soldiers" if i get permissions and opened models to re-route textures! .all bis SLA soldiers in winter camo(which is eay to do) many people are probly thinking..damn he keeps coming out with all these wip projects but never finishes emm...well thats not even close to whats really going on! first, im still very new and cannot do alot of things with addon making! which leads to all my problems....making addons is a process best done with team work(like a military unit..every man doing his specific job! unless u know everything)! and here i am doing it all my self with little experiance as compared to all these "perfesional" addon makers! but i think im going to go about this in a different way..after i get to a comfortable point(even with tons of bug\problems) ill release what i have for other to help me finish..like a free trial..lol! Current problems: (watch this section as i may update it with my problems and fixes) . i have all the ground vehicles textured and in a pack..and in-game! how ever a few problems occur. the bis marking is on all vehicles? and the guns still have the constaint muzzle flash, and the guns and wheels do not turn or rotate! -FIXED and is working in-game with out any problems i just needed to add the model.cfg, now all i have to do is add the "tracked vehicles" model.cfg then it will done and ready for release!!! soldier2390 0 Posted November 5, 2009 ok everyone bad news...no matter what i do\remake this pack wont work! the funny thing is me and alot of others have looked at it over and over and can not find the problems...i get no eroor messages..its just that none of the animations work...when not even 3 days agon it all worked 110% perfect..but out of nowere the next day i when back to test them(with out changing anything from the last time it worked) and none of the wheel\track animations work...along with the guns moving(m2 hmmwv...and stuff) so what i want to do is just release as is...and hope someone can fix it...also if i do this...someone can also port them to a2...as it would need a new config and model.cfg anyways..and i dont have a2 so i cant do it! so..SHOULD i release now...as is? and if so can anyone take a chance at a arma2 port? sorry but this is my only options..now if i release it now..it aint an officl release..JUST a test\need help type of release! again sorry if i seem like a failure to you guys...i promise im trying as hard as i possibly can, and i have a few ppl who can back that up..so sorry guys...im still working on this, and will not ever give up..i just need some help.. Animation problems are usually related to the skeleton and bones, and these are meant to be defined in the Model.cfg file.
