kobugui 0 Posted March 27, 2002 is possible to save in multiplayer?? can i change the respawn system in the codemasters multiplayer missions or any other missions that came only with the .pbo file? how?
sas_razor 0 Posted March 29, 2002 Some MP games do have a save game option but not OFP afaik. Red Alert had something but the problem was far from solved -everyone must have the same data at a point in time - sounds easy but technically quite a problem. Cant help you with your other questions m8. Razor
IGFs TopGun 1 Posted March 29, 2002 I think to change the respawn features in any mission you would need to de PBO the mission. That file should be available at the OFP editing center http://www.ofpeditingcenter.com/cgi-bin/YaBB/yabb.pl
Mister Frag 0 Posted March 29, 2002 Yes, all you need to do is DePBO the file, and edit DESCRIPTION.EXT with Notepad to add or change the type of respawn and delay you want: respawn = "mode" respawndelay = time The values for "mode" are these: NONE - no respawn BIRD - as seagull (default) INSTANT - at place you last died BASE - at your base ( set with markers "Respawn_West", "Respawn_East") GROUP - into a remaining soldier of your group (assigned group/platoon) SIDE - into a remaining soldier of your side (east, west) There are also numeric equivalents of these, but the string form with the quotes around it is more obvious. After updating and saving the file, go back into OFP, create a server, select the map you've been editing (it should be yellow instead of green now, indicating it is editable), click on Edit, and in the editor select "Export to Multiplayer". You have now created an updated .PBO file in the MPMissions directory.
