i installed the latest patch but all the menu text is gone?

I had Arma 2 installed (packaged from amazon) with no mods of any kind, I downloaded 1.04 patch installed it and now all the menus are going, so I start the game and for example single player, the button is just empty as are several other buttons.

Also, there are a number of werid lines of text such as missing string, srt and others.

Whats going on? What should I do uninstall every thing and reinstall it? reinstall the patch again?

I cant navigate my menus.

I am happy to follow any and all instructions to collect information from my system to help isolate the problem.

find your Arma2.cfg file and rename it XArma2.cfg or delete it then start Arma2 it should default the settings. On my comp its under C:\Users\Rexxenexx\Documents\ArmA 2

no that did not fix it, I just entered the game again and the single player button text is not there althrough the button is as normal and can be pressed, also the profile button on the main screen text is not there, if you click that all the buttons say "missing string srt_sure".

Every thing was perfect before this patch from 1.03 to 1.04

I have a very similar problem. The button on the MP lobby are blank. I have to click on them an open a new window to see what they do. Good old patch 1.04. :rolleyes:

Just uninstall everything, delete folder if its still there and start over because you're missing something for sure.
