Sniperdoc 0 Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) Now, last night after starting over from another Manhattan save, I had a great bug, it was awesome. This was really in response to the Manhattan Shaftoe Dead thread: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=86505 but I feel this issue is so frickin' amazing it warranted its own thread. Mission critical information contained so please don't read if you don't want hints on how to complete the mission: I'm near that enemy base, and am watching the enemy APC going round and round from the road near the Dam. So, I send out my Corpsman with the SMAW to take out that APC. No, problem, APC dispatched. So, I board my LAV and drive on top of the hill that is to the left of the Dam (with my back towards the enemy encampment). While I'm up there, I have Cooper bust out the Javelin and take out the T-72... no problem. I take control of the Sniper and start tagging all the Chedaki at the base with my M107 from 1.3km. As I switch through my guys using the Y and U keys, I notice that Cooper keeps telling all the guys to "board that hummvee" that's back at Manhattan 3.3km away!!! I cycle through the guys so that they stop. Then, after about 10 minutes of tagging people with the M107, I rotate through my guys to see what's up, and when I get to the Corpsman, I disappear and then reappear in that frickin' Hummer that was 3.3km away!!?? Every time I try to get him to get in the driver's seat, Cooper gives the order to disembark, and even though I have control over the Corpsman, he gets out. (WTF???) I thought Teleportation wasn't available till the year 2400??? Stupid game. Well since the Corpsman is obviously out of commission, I concentrated on the Chedakis and the only one that was left alive, is the commander who stands near the camoflaged BTR in the back. I take the LAV and start unleashing 30mm onto the machine gun encampments for a while to make sure they're clear. I then drive close enough to the base for Cooper to start belly crawling towards the base. Because it seems despite the fact that Cooper can SEE the base WITHOUT his Binoculars, it doesn't queue the trigger that saves the game and acknowledges that he's found the base. Sooo... that's why I figured, crawl towards the base and see when I get the save dialog. So, I'm crawling towards the base, and I don't get the Saving dialog until I'm like 50m from the 3rd (from the left) Machine Gun nest. No problem so far right? WRONG! I after the save dialog I can crawl about 5m and a machine gunner starts tagging me. I die. No big deal right? It just saved... so I should be fine. Just crawl backwards and I should be good to go... NOPE! Every time I load the save, the machine gun immediately unleashes upon Cooper. So, this save is now null-and-void essentially. MAGIC...!!! I love this game. Physikz 10 Posted September 17, 2009 I had this happen a while ago during the Manhattan mission..... whenever i switched to the Sniper,Cooper would order everyone off to some random point??? Then for some reason my Corpsman did some kind of Star Trek teleport back to the base,and was sat in a jeep.??? lol Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

No I don't think it's 'ok'; but I've never seen any posts about it (except the one you linked too from months ago); so it's obviously not easily reproducible...
