bagman 0 Posted September 17, 2009 Hi there Enjoying the ARMA 2 "experience" and so far ( touch wood) have not experienced any of the issue reported in this forum. One thing I have noticed is that when viewing objects from a distance ( eg. chickens on the gound or helicopter in the air) there is a white'ish circle that surrounds them. As the object gets closer to you it gradually disappears. Not a major deal, but must confess can get annoying. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the bloom/hdr issue ? I'm running the game using latest patch ( 1.04 ) on XP (SP 3) and GTX 285 with 182.50 drivers. Have AA and AF enabled with most settings on Normal execpt for Post Processing which I have disabled. Are there any in-game tweaks I can try ? I've tried playing around with gamma/brightness etc but doesn't seem to make any difference. Appreciate any advice you can offer cheers
sissi 10 Posted September 17, 2009 Isnt't that circle related to easiest difficulty level? It helps you spot AI units from afar. Step up the difficulty and you get rid of those.
Jingle 0 Posted September 17, 2009 Sounds like bloom to me try disabling post processing if it is then the halo chicken from mars should revert to its alter ego - buck buck from novy sobor.
hotel 10 Posted September 17, 2009 These circles are related to the difficlty level at which you play. The effects of the circles become more apparent with Post Processing turned up. The recruit level of difficulty is easily modded to allow and dissallow certain features but I find playing the game on Regular is good enough.

Alex72 1 Posted September 17, 2009 The blobs are there on easier levels to help you with your SA (Situational Awareness). They only show first after you have had LOS to whatever unit/vehicle etc you've seen.
