Shaftoe Dead - Manhattan

WTF... ok... this is about the 20th playthrough of Manhattan. Not only are the mission objectives totally F'd up, but now, that I've finally completed all the objectives other than finding that dude in Khelm, friggin' Shaftoe is dead under the table back at Manhattan.

Did a frickin' Chedaki Ninja assassinate his ass or what? This is getting redonkulous! Now I have to play this mission through once AGAIN... just to hope that he doesn't get wedged between the chair and the table again.

I saw that Shaftoe after a save game load just seems to spawn right in the frickin' table edge. I'm almost 100% positive that he just shifted to F'ing far and got wacked by the table.

This is BULLSH!T. Fix the frickin' missions! I was really starting to like this game again after seeing that some of the missions seemed ok, but it's apparent they're not. Razor 2 was screwed up, Manhattan is screwed up... wtf else is screwed up other than general game performance on my ueberbox?

LOL, this is my favorite bug because it's so utterly stupid that you just have to laugh at it. I started over when it happened to me but that was before I learned how to load past save files. You might try that first so that you don't have to re-do the entire Manhattan.

And how do you load past save files?

I had to reinstall my computer but have backup of my savegames, but that does not seem to work...

if you finished every objective, I would say just end the mission like this:

Press [shift] + numlock [ - ]

and than type

endmission

Manhattan I played all over, but the mission after Manhattan I had same kind of bug....

Well that just kind of really makes me not want to continue playing the game... glad I picked up Saints Row 2 yesterday from Direct2Drive for $5 to waste my time. At least it's real comic relief.

Just FYI: Direct2Drive is having a major sale month. Apparently it's their 5th year anniversary, so they have 50 games on sale for $5. Each week they cycle a game genre. This week it's action games I believe. They have Riddick: Dark Athena for $5!!! That was a fun game. Next week is RPG/MMO.

I can confirm that with 1.04 Shaftoes doesnt die but I have another gamestopper right after that.

After arriving at Manhattan a speaking to the dying commander (cant remember his name), I have two options:

1) Call Madoxx and get escorted on a chopper. While on board and flying towards Elektrozavods, we are shot down by a SAM, the game saves, but all I get is a black screen, music is playing, I can hear some distant explosions but pictures never pops up.

2) I can have the NAPA guys help me (I let them have the guns in Gorka, so now they are on my side). I follow them through the wood to a car, we all board (with me in the trunk). Game saves and loads again, we are on a lonely road, the driver is nowhere to be seen. We CANNOT disembark the car, I cannot leave the trunk, I cannot switch position to drivers seat. After a while, the driver runs in from a wood, gets in and drives us to a nearby town (ca 8 km from Elektro). There, he stops in a crossroads and nothing ever happens! Hes not driving any further, we cannot leave the car, game over.

i had the same problem. just restarted from previous save.... just when we boarded the car. i save often, just in case.... do the same.
