BeerHunter 0 Posted September 13, 2009 Tried searching and got lots of "load/save games = CTD" but nothing specific about simply not being able to save a game. Playing a custom scenario I downloaded and was about to sneak into a town and had spotted several sentries. After about 10 minutes of creeping from tree to tree one of the AI merrily stood up , holler "HERE WE ARE" and shot one of the sentries. (forgot to set them to "hold fire") All hell broke loose and I had to reload a game that takes me way back.. This time I crept up and went to save so when I reload I wont have to transport over miles again but it's grayed out. Can't save. Is this a problem with ArmA2 , the module or what? Is there a fix? BTW - loading saved games so far hasn't caused the CTD.
Maddmatt 1 Posted September 13, 2009 The higher difficulty settings only allow one save per mission. Lower your difficulty unless you're one of those crazy people that enjoys frustration ;)
denialnw10 10 Posted September 13, 2009 Or if you enjoy the hard difficulty but fancy cheating a bit by still being able to save, u can always go into the saved file in "my documents" and move/delete the existing saved file whilst your playing the game by pressing alt+tab. The use alt+tab again once this is done to tab back into the game and after un-pausing and re-pausing you will be able to save a fresh file again! A bit long winded, but its helped me get through the buggy game, as the frustration of it crashing every five minutes got too much! :D

Unless of course you like Alt-tabbing out every time you want to save
