All the other training was easy, expert marksman, sniper, etc. but with the basic helicopter course, i get in the chopper, wait for him to say checklist is ok start the engines i choose start engine and immediately it drops the fuel to 0 and i get kicked from the chopper, then it says engine damage. i have tried the other options as well, before choosing engine on, in different combos. it's gotta be something really simple i am just missing i imagine - thanks in advance. -Kyle Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

the_truth 10 Posted September 9, 2009 yeah it happened in the combat training as well, have not tried it in a mission yet. am getting the feel for SP before i go into MP again - i didn't do horrible just kinda confused. I get in the chopper, wait for him to say checklist ok start engine, and i click action, select engine on, and the fuel drops , i get kicked and fail. critical engine damage or something to that effect. happens after a few seconds in basic, immediately in combat, i have 1.16b and the ACE mod installed, could either of those be causing it? it is ACE 1.09. thanks again. desertjedi 3 Posted September 11, 2009 I used to get an error all the time in the Chopper Tutorial even in vanilla Arma. For me, the officer would just stand there and not enter the chopper. I also got bugs in another tutorial, the nade one, IIRC. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

allthumbs 0 Posted October 26, 2009 It's a bug - the trainer won't enter the chopper with you. If you run away a couple hundred feet he will sometimes get un stuck, where you can then get into the chopper. Otherwise restart the training and he will get into the chopper.
