new expansion? are they joking?

I'm somewhat new to the forum. but I just saw in the news section that they have confirmed an expansion pack. :eek: That's good and all. It just rubs me the wrong way when the vanilla version needs a lot of work first. I'm sure others that can barely play the game would agree. Expansions have come out on other game before they were perfect. but they were not in the shape that arma2 is in. It wreaks of them just trying to make a buck, not a good product. Great that you would like to expand Dev's. how bout you keep it to yourselves till you get vanilla in even half way decent shape. I'm not trying to bash. I love the prospect of this game. (its on the self for now) I just want to know they are concentrating on vanilla %100.

If you read the Q&A in the newsletter, shown HERE!. You should notice this, and I quote:

How performance will be compared to ArmA II and if the system requirements will stay the same? Are there plans to further optimize ArmA II?

BIS: Don't worry that we would throw it away because of making the datadisk. Thanks to the Operation Arrowhead making I believe we will have a better chance to keep an eye on ArmA II too. We plan to bring new patches and continue the support of the game as we did to the present day. The requirements should definitely stay the same for Operation Arrowhead.
