Are these bugs?(Dogs of war)

I'm having three problems with this mission.

First-Is the "fast travel" option supposed to be slow?In here it take a lot of time to go from one city to another(I think more than 5 minutes)?If it is,can I make it faster somehow?

Second-Whenever I use the buy menu,it takes a great amount of time to "load" the options.

Also,right now I can't even buy things properly because the menu is all bugged and if I choose to "buy units" it gives me weapons and when I want to buy weapons it gives me the units menu and I can't even guess where is what I want to buy.

Third-I've tried buying an heli twice in the main base but both times they just threw the chopper out of the factory and it broke so I coudn't get it to work.

Is there any way to correct this?

In addition to them, I want to know how should i deal with "xx town lost!" or "strong point is lost!" while receiving data in buy-unit-dialog or having a slowtravel.

Greeeat now I have another problem :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

After I loaded a savegame all my units appear as blue squares and I can't control the other three guys on my team,I can't order them to move somewhere,or to get in a vehicle or anything.

I knew my ArmA 2 experience was too good to be true(I only had problems on the first mission before dogs of war and it was just a question of restarting,something I did twice already on DoA),and when people said this mission was bugged as hell I tought they were overreacting...

make your own missions. Its more fun. the Single player campaign is a headache. And your own missions wont be half as buggy.

Well I bought the game so I really want to finish the campaign,and the right way,without cheats to end the mission or anything :(:(:(:(:(

From the other DoW threads in this forum..........I'd say there are a number of bugs in this mission. I haven't experienced any of yours (yet), and hope I don't!

As far as your reload with blue rectangles and not being able to control your team mates.................somehow when you reloaded, it sounds as if you materialised in game with the CDF forces under your control in priority. When that's the case you can't order your team. Try pressing the L Cntrl and the space bar simultaneously and see if your team doesn't reappear on your headup display. Those two buttons are supposed to allow you to switch back and forth between your team and the CDF units you control.

And now I'm stuck in the cutscene where I deliver that guy to the russians.

It bugs after some shots are fired and I get to walk again while the rest of the cutscene is frozen,including the characters but I can hear some sound.

I'm usually patient with games full of bugs,one of my favorite games ever is Vampire the masquerade bloodlines :D and I've played the original OPF and ArmA 1, but this one is the only one who managed to piss me off :mad:

I really want to see the ending of the campaign specially now that I'm in the last mission(I think).

Is there anything I can do to correct that?

Glad it worked for you.

The problems you're experiencing could be peculiar to your hardware combo and ArmA II; or one of the many generic bugs many are suffering from.

If you haven't patched to the 1.03 version of the game (I assume you have).............you should do so ASAP; as they've cured a pretty big slug of the worst bugs. Mind you..............there are separate patches for store bought copies and STEAM purchased copies. Don't use the wrong patch for your version.

Also.........make sure you've got the latest video and sound drivers for you gear and have defragged your hard drive (you know........all the basics). Good luck!

I do have the last patch(I have the steam version so I think it's autopatched) and the last drivers.

My pc isn't that great anymore but it's good enough and I can run 90% of the games with everything maxed out and while I can't do that on ArmA 2 it's still playable with some slowdowns when I'm walking around most towns in the game(especially the capital).

One thing I heard is that the improvements of the patches don't work on an ongoing campaign and since I got the last patch I didn't start from 0,could this be the reason?

I can't even skip the cutscene,I'm stuck in the game for good :(

I can't believe I spent so much time on the campaign for nothing now that I can't get to the ending.

Are you saying you loaded a campaign save from 1.02 and run it in 1.03? I think it is mentioned somewhere earlier saves do not work in 1.03. No reason to blame arma2 for this - it is the same in 90% of games patches. I could send you my campaign save (DoW, 1.03) which you could restart in the last mission if I first figure what to send (PM if you want it).

I probably restarted the last mission I was on before patching, but not the whole campaign.
